Pupil Premium is an additional grant given to schools to help improve the attainment of disadvantaged children. We encourage all parents who receive qualifying benefits to apply, in confidence, for the grant. This extra funding helps the school to make a real difference to those children. We use the grant in a number of ways: to help raise attainment, to provide enriching experiences and to provide additional support for particularly vulnerable pupils. For every child that qualifies, the school receives £1,300.
Pupil Premium Strategy
We use our Pupil Premium money to:
- Continue to provide targeted 1:1 and group support with interventions and in class support
- Continue to provide targeted ‘Nurture’ support to ensure that pupils with social, emotional and mental health issues are supported over time to be able to access the curriculum to become more effective learners
- Employ a family support facilitator to work with identified families to provide guidance and support across a wide range of needs.
- Continue to provide a wide range of cultural experiences to broaden pupils education
